A world without prison
At Zuivere Koffie, we dream big. We envision a world without prisons.
We know what it’s like to be imprisoned and how difficult it is to stay on the right track. In the Netherlands, 47% of the people released from prison are recommitted within two weeks and we’re working to change that. Through our Zuivere Koffie Street University program, [inmates/convicts] work in the roastery, bakery, and tea assembly workplaces to learn skills that are valued in life after prison. We give them hope, a positive outlook, and second chances. With teamwork, motivation, and resilience, Zuivere Koffie proves that it is possible to reintegrate into society successfully.
